The mission of the Salida Pregnancy Resource Center is to support our community through life affirming action. We fulfill that mission through providing services to families and women with unplanned pregnancies as well as families with planned pregnancies. UAACOG was formed in 1974 under Federal Legislation and State Executive Order allowing the formation of “regional councils.” There are 14 planning and management regions in Colorado. The purpose of the organization is to provide community services on a regional basis that are not practical or efficient to provide on an individual county or municipal basis. Services have evolved over the years, but the benefits are more important than ever.

Walden Chamber Music Society is a non-profit organization which presents classical chamber music concerts to our mountain community. Walden Chamber Music Society also makes generous donations to local schools to assist with their music programs, and to help students gain an appreciation of classical music. Their concerts are free for students K-12. In 2025, they are entering into their 23rd season of presenting concerts.
