Do you find value in networking with other health and wellness partners? Do you like to know what’s happening in Chaffee County in the world of health and wellness? Do you want to see Chaffee County be the healthiest county in the state? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, you are invited to be a part of the Chaffee County Health Coalition. Since 2013 the CCHC has been meeting to promote health and wellness in our valley. Our mission is “to improve accessibility, affordability and quality of health, wellness and prevention through collaboration and coordination in Chaffee County.” CCHC meets six times per year for a free lunch, networking, presentations, community health and wellness updates and conversation on a wide range of topics related to health. CCHC includes a wide range of health and wellness sectors, including medical and mental health providers, public health, human services, addiction and recovery, senior services, youth services and more. The atmosphere at our meetings is informal, relaxed, informative, collaborative and, yes, even fun as evidenced by this emoji ????! This program is a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention lifestyle- change program designed to prevent Type 2 diabetes. It introduces those who are prediabetic or at risk of developing diabetes to healthy habits needed for preventing or delaying the onset of Type 2 diabetes. To register, call 539-4510.

Beginning at 5 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church on at 7 Poncha Blvd., FCRJ staff and experienced volunteers in our Victim Offender Education Group (VOEG) program will offer their powerful experiences in sharing restorative principles with incarcerated individuals. "Facilitating the Prison program and the Restorative Circles has to be the most rewarding work I've ever done!" - states veteran FCRJ Volunteer and retired Business Professor, "Awesome" Andy Dungan. Please join FCRJ in this informative event. Coffee, tea & treats will be served.
