A ChurchAfter the matinee, families are invited to enjoy hot cocoa, cookies, and a meet-and- greet with the cast and crew. Audience members who are able are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped, gender-neutral toy for the Share the Joy holiday drive benefiting local children. “We hope the gathering after the matinee becomes a true community moment,” said STP Board Chair Leslie Matthews. “It’s a chance for families to connect during the holidays, and the gift drive simply adds another opportunity to spread joy.” Salida Theater Project (STP) is delighted to present A Merry Little Christmas Carol, a contemporary re-telling of Charles Dickens’ classic by New York playwright Mark Shanahan. This lively, one-act, script-in-hand production runs approximately 75-minutes and is appropriate for ages 10 and up. The show is directed by Salida Theater Project’s Aggie Alvez. “Shanahan’s adaptation gives Dickens’ story a fresh spark while honoring everything audiences love about story.” Seventeen actors bring this Christmas classic to life, a mix of new talent and familiar local performers.
