Join us December 1st, from 6:00-7:30 pm, for an Avalanche Awareness Community Safety Talk! If you like to recreate in the winter backcountry, this FREE event is for you! Skiers, splitboarders, hikers, cross country skiers, snowshoers, and snowmobilers join us at Salida Mountain Sports for a FREE, informative Avalanche Awareness Know Before You Go presentation presented by Buena Vista Mountain Adventures (BVMA). In 1-hour, you will see the destructive power of avalanches, understand when and why they happen, and how you can have fun in the mountains and avoid avalanches. There will be 30 mins for questions at the end. This conversation is a great place to start your avalanche education.
