Welcome to Queertopia! Join your friends and allies as we celebrate the kick-off of our 2024 Ark Valley Pride celebration at Tres Litros on May 31st from 7-9pm! Hosted by Mary Q and Margot Anthony, there’ll be lip-syncs and awesome drinks - zero-proof menu also available!

Considered one of Colorado’s most breathtaking regions, the Arkansas River Valley is home to expansive ranches and farmland. With its abundant resources, fresh water and mild climate, Foodshed Alliance’s earliest founders recognized the valley’s potential for supporting a local food economy. Experience the Arkansas River Valley and its local food systems at a Foodshed Alliance Farmers Market. With two locations - Buena Vista and Salida - Foodshed Alliance Farmers Markets showcase and complement some of Chaffee County’s most vibrant communities. Both farmers markets begin on Saturday June 1st 2024. The Buena Vista farmers market is held at Columbine Park (51 Linderman Avenue) from 9 am - 1 pm on Saturdays June 1st thru October 5th. The Salida farmers market is held at Alpine Park (404 E Street) from 8 am - 12 pm on Saturdays June 1st thru October 26th. Apply to be a vendor online or call us at 913-904-8207.

CELEBRATE THE DIVERSITY OF THE ARKANSAS RIVER VALLEY DOWNTOWN SALIDA MAY 31 - JUNE 2 JUNE 1 SCHEDULE: Pride Village: 10am-4pm Pride Village hosts a number of community organizations sharing information, resources, activities, and fun! Bring a picnic and hangout in the shade all day! Itty Bitty Health Fair: 10am-4pm You can now find the Itty Bitty LGBTQ+ Health Fair at Ark Valley Pride! This growing list of health services, tests, and resources is designed for you to stop in! Check out all the amazing services offered! Ark Valley Pride Youth Awards: 10:30am-11:30am Grab your family and friends to help us celebrate our area youth at the annual Ark Valley Pride Youth Awards with a number of youth activities and performances on the Main Stage. Purple People Powered Pride Parade: 2:30pm-3:30pm Don’t forget to wear your purple! Meet the squad at Alpine Park on the corner of 4th and F Streets at 2:30 p.m. and zhuzh (yep it’s a word!) yourself up! You’ve got to be parade-worthy! We will start the walk promptly at 3:05 p.m. Afternoon Dance Party: 3:30pm-4:15pm Check out Pride Village or head over to the main stage and jump into an Afternoon Dance Party and keep the momentum going from the Purple People Powered Pride Parade! Ark Valley Pride Awards: 4:15pm-5:45pm Local leaders and community members take to the stage to share stories and perspectives and celebrate our community through the annual Ark Valley Pride Awards. Queertopia Nights: 7:00pm-8:30pm Run home and change into your most dazzling self and meet us back in Riverside Park for an evening drag extravaganza, hunty! Hosted by everyone’s favorite Emcee, Chad! Your fave cast of Colorado’s fiercest Drag Kings and Queens is back, with a few local favorites, too! Bring cash to tip the cast! Pride Dance Party with Ulla: 8:30pm-10pm Prepare for liftoff - this party is wild! Keep the positive love and fabulous pride energy going with ULLA in Riverside Park from 8:30-10:00 pm.
