Salida Clinic opened March 1, 2021 by Maria Riemann (Powers-Bove), DNP, APRN, FNP-BC. Salida Clinic is a primary care practice that follows the direct primary care model (DPC model). This model of primary care does not accept insurance and is based on a monthly membership. With a membership to Salida Clinic, clients may see Dr. Riemann as many times as needed that month. Both medical and non-medical services are provided. Medical services include preventative care, acute care, chronic illness management, and much more. Non-medical services include same day or next day appointments, minimal or no wait times, direct contact with your provider, and patient care coordination.
Maria Riemann, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC is the founded and sole provider at Salida Clinic. She grew up in Salida, Colorado and graduated from Salida High School in 2007. She graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Colorado Mesa University in 2012. From there she graduated with her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Colorado Mesa University with an emphasis on Family Nurse Practitioner in May of 2020. She is a licensed Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in Colorado. Dr. Riemann is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credential Center. Before Dr. Riemann became a family nurse practitioner she started her career on the Cardiac Unit at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Grand Junction, CO. After three years Dr. Riemann returned to Salida, CO and worked as a registered nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center. Dr. Riemann lives in Salida with her husband, Michael, daughter, Helen, and son, Ezra. She is passionate about her community, rural health, and service for Chaffee County and surrounding areas.
