Snowshow Hike and Animal Tracking

Join local outdoor guide and nature enthusiast, Scot Bealer, and local wildlife photographer, Lea Frye on a winter snowshoe hike, observing signs and tracks of wildlife. The group will meet at 9 am at the Collegiate Peaks Campground. Participants should be prepared to trek about three miles round trip on moderate terrain, frequently hiking off trail to explore and track signs of animals. Appropriate dress, layers and waterproof gear, as well as snowshoes are required for participation. Snowshoes may be rented at Salida Mountain Sports or The Trailhead in Buena Vista. This program is limited to 10 participants, so register early by clicking here. The cost for this program is $5 for GARNA members, $10 for non-members.
