Join Salida Parks and Recreation for our annual new year’s day 5k. This event is a fun way to kick off the new year on the right foot and have fun while doing it! Wear your best costume and walk or run this beautiful 5k course from down town Salida leading out the Monarch Spur Trail and back into town.

The event will be stopwatch timed and the top 3 overall male and female finishers will receive prizes from 7000 Feet Running Company! This year we will also be giving prizes to anyone who finishes with a time of 20:22, middle of the pack, oldest and youngest racers.

This year we will be offering day-of registrations! In an attempt to encourage you to register online though, the day of registrations will be $25! Just commit to the race, it’s only $10 online! Just sign up early! You can also call the Salida Hot Springs Aquatic Center at 719 539 6738 and they can help you sign up if the online process isn’t your cup of tea.
