CCCF’s Best Practices Series for Nonprofits:

Grant Writing Essentials

Grant writing is hard work and involves much more than just words on a page.

Are you ready to write grants? Does your organization have a great plan, along with the capacity to carry out your proposal? Can you clearly explain your desired outcomes?

This workshop is for you.

You will learn to:

  • Craft compelling cover letters.
  • Understand and use the Colorado Common Grant application.
  • Construct a data-based narrative of the challenge or opportunity you are proposing.
  • Define the specific, measurable outcomes of your proposal and then demonstrate that your organization can deliver them.
  • Create clear, concise project budgets.
  • Identify “best funder” matches and understand the tools available to do so.
  • And more.

When: March 12 from 9am to 1pm

Where: Scout Hut, Salida (210 E. Sackett)

Cost: $20 per person
