The Salida Parks department has 270 native tree saplings to plant, and they need your help!  This is our first year in a multiyear effort to begin a reforestation project on S Mountain, in collaboration with GARNA, Colorado Conservancy, and Colorado State Forest Service . We will be planting Pine and Juniper saplings in two different locations on the mountain, so please be prepared to be involved in digging, walking, and carrying materials – tools will be provided, bring gloves if you have them, and dress appropriately (closed toe shoes, layers, etc.)!
