ART EXHIBITION: “Broken” by Tim Brown
Salida SteamPlant Theater 220 West Sackett Avenue, SalidaThrough an exhibit by Salida photographer Tim Brown and his mastery of wet plate silver collodin tintypes, the photographic collection is accompanied by the subject's corresponding story of heartache, betrayal and loss. The inspiration for "Broken" came from Brown's own experience with break up and the sense of loss and devastation it created. "Broken" was his way of processing the complex and at times overwhelming emotions brought on by divorce as well as a way to start catharsis and begin his journey of healing.
