Join us at the Steam Plant each month as Salida Arts & Culture presents the monthly art exhibit in the Paquette Gallery and the Salida Council for the Arts hosts a reception and chance to meet other art supporters. Meet the artists, hear about the exhibit, network, and participate in the Soapbox tradition- where artists and organizations can make announcements about upcoming events, shows, and programs. From visual art, dance, music, theatre, and more, discover ways to get involved in Salida's vibrant arts scene! Enjoy live music and light refreshments. A cash bar is available. This event is free and open to the public. The dates for the 2025 Creative Mixers are Feb 6, March 5, April 10, May 1, June 12, July 10, August 7, September 5, October 9, November 13, and December 11. Crafting, Sewing and Leatherwork at A Church
A ChurchEvery Friday from 9-1 we will be Crafting at A Church! We have some ideas for crafts on hand or if you have a project you need to finish bring it out. We have some supplies for our suggested craft, but for some ideas you might have to bring something.... we suggest reusing what you have..... We can still make the mushroom garland but will be making holiday garland and other paper crafts. If you want to make the mushroom garland bring 6 hollowed out cuties (little oranges) cut in 1/2 and dried. ~Bring old cards or fun paper to make gift tags. ~Bring random yarn for yarn baskets. We also invite yo to sew, cross stitch, felt, etc. Charles will be here to teach basic skills about leatherwork. Lunch is provided by Pizza Rio!

Parent Toolkit for Kids Class
Boys & Girls Club-SalidaFall is here, and the Parent Toolkit for Kids class is returning to Salida! This free, five-session class is designed to support parents and caregivers of children ages 9–14 in guiding their kids to make healthy choices during the teen years. We’ll be hosting the class at the Boys & Girls Club in Salida on the following Mondays: November 10, 17, and December 1, 8, and 15, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Dinner and childcare will also be provided at no cost.
