You do not have to be a Chaffee County resident to sign up.<br>AIARE Avalanche Rescue is a one-day stand-alone course that is intended to be retaken regularly to keep abreast of best practices in rescue techniques and gear. New participants will learn the basics of companion rescue, while returning participants will expand their skill set with advanced topics and realistic scenario practice to help improve their skills. In addition, each participant will have the opportunity to receive professional coaching and feedback on their rescue skills. Crafting, Sewing and Leatherwork at A Church
A ChurchEvery Friday from 9-1 we will be Crafting at A Church! We have some ideas for crafts on hand or if you have a project you need to finish bring it out. We have some supplies for our suggested craft, but for some ideas you might have to bring something.... we suggest reusing what you have..... We can still make the mushroom garland but will be making holiday garland and other paper crafts. If you want to make the mushroom garland bring 6 hollowed out cuties (little oranges) cut in 1/2 and dried. ~Bring old cards or fun paper to make gift tags. ~Bring random yarn for yarn baskets. We also invite yo to sew, cross stitch, felt, etc. Charles will be here to teach basic skills about leatherwork. Lunch is provided by Pizza Rio!

Salida SteamPlantWe are launching our brand-new event on New Years Eve. The event will be at the SteamPlant on the 31st, with two shows, one at 7 the other 9:30 featuring Comedian Headliners. We will have a catered buffet in the ballroom with music and festivities bringing in the New Year traditions. More information to come soon!
