Friday, February 6, 2026 9:00am-1:00pm A Church 419 D Street Salida CO Community Crafting Circle welcomes you to work on crafting, sewing and leatherwork projects, start new projects and learn from creative experts or work on projects you already have. All are welcome! Kids are encouraged to learn fun and timeless art from. Refreshments provided feel free to bring snacks to share. JOIN US IN MAKING HOME MADE VALENTINES. THERE WILL BE SUPPLIES INCLUDED, HOWEVER WE ALWAYS ENCOURAGE BRINGING MORE CRAFTING MATERIALS IF WANTED. FEB 6TH & 13TH THIS IS A FREE EVENT.

Every performance is like stepping into a river—they never play a song the same way twice. They make music inspired by the maritime traditions of Scotland, Ireland, Scandinavia and North America. Their album titles—Harbour and Headland—honor the meeting point between the land and sea and they sing songs about shorelines, seafarers and drownings. They revel in the driving danceability of Irish tunes, but also take inspiration from the pastoral melodies and naturalistic metaphors of Scottish music. But while the music they write is forged in tradition, it is nonetheless cast and tempered in new and unexpected ways.

Colorado's “Taxpayer Bill of Rights” – or TABOR – is a far-reaching constitutional amendment that profoundly impacts tax, spending and overall budgetary policy.  In the 30 years since TABOR was enacted,  Colorado’s changing economic, demographic and social foundations are posing substantial challenges for the State Legislature as it works to produce a balanced budget that meets the needs of citizens.  Come hear from the Colorado Fiscal Institute and learn more about TABOR, its impacts and emerging ideas for modifications consistent with the changing needs of our state.

We will be hosting this amazing film about the Colorado River on Valentine's Day Weekend. Join us as we celebrate our love for rivers, open lands, and wildlife!​ The American Southwest is a wild and unforgettable journey down the mighty Colorado River. Narrated by Quannah Chasinghorse, the film beautifully showcases the region’s abundant wildlife, confronts the ecological impacts of dams and river depletion, and boldly advocates for increased water and wildlife conservation. This Fin and Fur Films production travels through legendary landscapes from the perspective of some of the Southwest’s most charming characters—such as wetland-building beavers, bugling bull elk, and desert-adapted rattlesnakes. ​ Created in association with Natives Outdoors, The American Southwest highlights the region’s deep cultural history and the urgent need to manage the river more sustainably so that both wildlife and society can thrive.

The play explores themes of genius, mental illness, love, trust, and the challenges women face in male-dominated fields like mathematics.
