Salida, CO – KHEN 106.9 FM, the heart of community radio in Salida, expresses its deepest gratitude to Mark Schoenecker for his outstanding service as Executive Director for the past 3 years. Under Mark’s stewardship, KHEN continued to flourish as a vital voice in the community, fostering connections and ensuring a vibrant lineup of locally inspired programming. His dedication to KHEN’s mission has left a lasting legacy. Though stepping down as Executive Director, Mark continues to support the station as a hardworking and committed volunteer.
As the station bid a fond farewell to Mark this past September, KHEN tapped the station’s underwriter coordinator, Lisa Ledwith, to assume the role as the new Executive Director. Lisa has been a vital part of the KHEN family since 2013, starting as the host of the beloved Big Wooly Music program, which airs on Wednesday nights from 7:00 – 9:00 pm and explores a wide array of music genres and themes. Over the years, she expanded her role by supporting the station’s underwriting, programming, and events. Lisa has stepped seamlessly into her role, bringing with her a strong skillset in community fundraising and outreach that will benefit the sustainability of the station.
