August 17, 2025 – WE Gather with COURAGEOUS RESILIENCE- Part 7 of the 2025 WE Gather Series
Description: In the demanding landscape of rural entrepreneurship, women often face unique challenges—ranging from isolation to limited resources. “Courageous Resilience: Empowering Rural Women Entrepreneurs” is a transformative workshop designed to equip you with the tools to navigate these challenges with confidence, emotional intelligence, and mindfulness.
This workshop will guide you through the powerful intersection of resilience, vulnerability, and mindfulness. You’ll learn how to embrace vulnerability as a strength, build emotional and mental resilience, and practice mindfulness to stay grounded and focused in your business and personal life.
Whether you’re launching a new venture or sustaining an existing one, this workshop will provide you with actionable strategies to lead with authenticity, connect deeply with your purpose, and build a supportive network of like-minded women.

Workshop Outline:
1. Introduction: Setting the Stage for Courageous Resilience Welcome and Icebreaker: Introduce participants and set a relaxed, open atmosphere. Share the workshop’s objectives and the importance of resilience in the context of rural entrepreneurship.
2. Embracing Vulnerability as a Strength – Understanding Vulnerability: Explore Brené Brown’s research on vulnerability and its role in building trust, innovation, and resilience. – Interactive Exercise: Participants will identify areas where they can embrace vulnerability in their business and life, sharing insights in small groups to foster connection.
3. Building Emotional Resilience – Self-Sabotage and Emotional Mastery: Draw from Brianna Wiest’s “The Mountain Is You” to help participants recognize self-sabotage and transform it into self-mastery. – Resilience Framework: Discover the components of resilience, including mental toughness, adaptability, and emotional balance, and how they can be cultivated through intentional practice. – Resilience-Building Exercise: Engage in exercises designed to increase emotional resilience, such as journaling, reflection, and group discussions.
4. Cultivating Mindfulness for Clarity and Focus – Introduction to Mindfulness: Guided by Andy Puddicombe’s Headspace techniques, participants will learn simple mindfulness practices to reduce stress, improve focus, and enhance emotional stability. – The Power of Pause: Learn how to incorporate mindful pauses throughout the day to create space for better decision-making and leadership.
5. Applying Courageous Resilience in Leadership – Mindful Leadership: Explore how to lead with empathy, presence, and authenticity, using mindfulness to enhance your leadership style. – Wholehearted Leadership: Based on Brené Brown’s “Dare to Lead,” this segment will focus on leading with courage and connection, creating resilient and inclusive teams. – Leadership Exercise: Participants will work through real-world scenarios, practicing mindful and courageous leadership techniques.
6. Real-World Applications and Group Activities – Case Studies: Review real-life examples of rural women entrepreneurs who have successfully applied these principles to overcome challenges. – Group Reflection and Sharing: Facilitate discussions where participants can share their personal experiences and insights, reinforcing the learning and building a supportive network.
7. Creating an Action Plan – Personal Action Plan: Each participant will develop a personalized action plan for implementing these strategies in their business and life, with specific goals and accountability measures. – Closing Remarks and Resources: Conclude with a Q&A session and provide additional resources for continued practice and growth.
