Snowpack Uncertainty 
Join us for a FREE informative talk at Salida Mountain Sports on managing uncertainty in the snowpack. All backcountry enthusiasts welcome – skiers, splitboarders, snowmobilers, snowshoers, and cross-country skiers. Buena Vista Mountain Adventures (BVMA) Owner, Tommy Gram-Ahlene will lead this community conversation. Learn about the 9 different avalanche problems and how to observe, manage, and make informed decisions when touring in the backcountry.

What to Expect:

• An overview of the formation of the layered mountain snowpack
• Avalanche Problems and how to observe and manage them
• Weighing out evidence and uncertainty in the snow to make better decisions.
• Build on the skills you already know about avalanches and build decision-making skills for managing uncertainty in the snow.
