Come Explore the Magical Worlds of Disney’s Moana JR and Lion King JR Playing at The Steam Plant Theater in Salida, CO Sventastik Productions invites you on this ‘double-feature’ adventure, featuring two of Disney’s most captivating JR Shows. These shows, based on the feature films, provide a unique opportunity for kids of all ages to show their star potential, as they bring these two magical worlds to life. The cast includes kids from around Chaffee County and Saguache, with a directorial team led by Kyria Stange, the founder of Sventastik. Both shows feature journeys of self discovery, the importance of understanding heritage, courage in the face of adversity and the need to stand up and do what is right. Featuring all the classic songs from both movies, plus exciting new pieces written solely for the musicals, audiences will not be able to help but join in the fun, and find themselves fully immersed in these wonderful stories. Mountainfilm on Tour is coming to Salida bringing a selection of culturally rich, adventure-packed and inspiring documentary films curated from the Mountainfilm festival held every Memorial Day weekend in Telluride, Colorado. Held at the Steamplant Event Center on March 13, the show will explore themes connected to Mountainfilm’s mission: to use the power of film, art and ideas to inspire audiences to create a better world. Doors open for the event at 5:30pm and the show will kick off at 6pm. Snacks and beverages are available for purchase. Mountainfilm on Tour in Salida is hosted by the Greater Arkansas River Nature Association (GARNA) in partnership with Monarch Community Outreach, Arkansas Headwaters Recreation Area, Salida Mountain Sports and Pinon Real Estate – Celia Adamec.
