Parent Toolkit for Kids Class
This class is designed for parents and caregivers of children ages 9-14, to help them support their kids in making good choices. The class will be held on Monday nights, 5:30pm-7:30pm, from April 21st-May 19th at the Boys and Girls Club in Salida. Some of the topics that will be covered include: Promoting health and wellbeing during the teen years Developing healthy beliefs and clear standards Dealing with anger in a positive way How to guide kids to say NO, keep their friends, and still have fun How to strengthen family bonds The class is free of charge, and dinner will be provided! Free childcare will also be available for children up to age 14. Crafting, Sewing and Leatherwork at A Church
Every Friday from 9-1 we will be Crafting at A Church! We have some ideas for crafts on hand or if you have a project you need to finish bring it out. We have some supplies for our suggested craft, but for some ideas you might have to bring something.... we suggest reusing what you have..... We can still make the mushroom garland but will be making holiday garland and other paper crafts. If you want to make the mushroom garland bring 6 hollowed out cuties (little oranges) cut in 1/2 and dried. ~Bring old cards or fun paper to make gift tags. ~Bring random yarn for yarn baskets. We also invite yo to sew, cross stitch, felt, etc. Charles will be here to teach basic skills about leatherwork. Lunch is provided by Pizza Rio!
