Colorado Circular Transportation Network Webinar to Addresses Barriers to Recycling in Rural and Mountain Communities
Circular Transportation Network Addresses Barriers to Recycling in Rural and Mountain Communities Does your business struggle to recycle due to a lack of access to hauling? The Colorado Circular Transportation Network is a new program designed by the Circular Economy Development Center and Front Range Transload to pick up select materials, such as plastics, film, cardboard, paper, aluminum and down-filled products, for free from rural and mountainous areas that experience barriers to recycling. The collected materials will be aggregated and sent to end markets in the region where they will be processed and remanufactured into new products. To learn more, join us for a webinar on December 10th at 1pm MST. Register here. You can also visit the CEDC website and contact staff at ctn@circularcolorado.org.

The Noteables, Peace On Earth
The Noteables, Peace On Earth
We Can’t Stop Singing! The women’s chorus, The Noteables, are preparing for their winter concert series, “Peace On Earth” December 13-15, 2024. The Noteables will perform a wide variety of music that will encompass not only the Christmas/winter related songs but also several songs about peace and unity, reflecting the genuine sentiment hidden beneath the holiday. The concerts will include a wide selection of genres: gospel, unusual arrangements of traditional carols, winter ballads, calypso and Celtic. Songs include: We start off with Good News, Great Joy, The First Noel with Pachebel’s Canon and Christmas Pipes, a Celtic celebration by Celtic Woman. The show continues with Chapua Kali Desemba, a rhythmic African carol, Sing Joy To the World, A Gospel Song of Peace, based loosely on the Dona, Nobis, Pacem round, and The Work of Christmas, reminding us that the Christmas spirit continues throughout the year. The hilarious Pie Carols, sung and acted by a quartet, raves about the quirky benefits of Christmas pies. Let Heaven And Nature Sing will get your feet tapping. Open Prayer and Canticle of Peace slow things down, bringing peace of mind to a troubled world. Featured will be Dave Tipton playing several instrumental Christmas carols on his Chapman Stick. The chorus will be accompanied by Oso Blanco on drums, Kate Chiras on electric bass and Brenda Covert on flute. Concert dates: Friday, December 13, 7:00pm at Clearview Community Church, Buena Vista Saturday, December 14, 7:00pm and Sunday December 15, 3:00 pm at the Steamplant Event Center, Salida Remember that music is healing and has the ability to bring perfect strangers together in laughter, joy and harmony, something that The Noteables are famous for! Join us during these challenging times for a concert series that will lighten your heart and fill you with the Christmas spirit.
