National Trails Day, June 7th, 8:30 AM – Meet at CR108 Little Rainbow Trailhead  Join us for a day of trail love and community vibes! Here’s the plan: Ride your moto (road or Rainbow Trail!) or carpool out to Porter Gulch in Howard (CR4) CCMR is bringing the trailer + tools We'll be decommissioning an old, unofficial trail and possibly adding signage to the new, rideable Porter Gulch trail! After the work, meet back at CR108 with SMT for food and drinks

Join GARNA public lands chapter, the Upper Arkansas Wilderness Volunteers, for a meet and greet and short trail hike on CT Seg 13 to discuss the mission, activities, data collection, trail work and tools as they support the Salida and Leadville Ranger Districts in trail maintenance and stewardship. More Info

The first step in fighting the invasive plants plaguing our ecosystem is being able to recognize them! Ricki Garden will lead a casual hike where she will teach how to identify these pernicious invaders, why they are problematic, and ways to combat them. More info and register

The City of Salida Arts & Culture and Salida Council for the Arts presents monthly Creative Mixers! Join us at the Steam Plant each month as Salida Arts & Culture presents the monthly art exhibit in the Paquette Gallery and the Salida Council for the Arts hosts a reception and chance to meet other art supporters. Meet the artists, hear about the exhibit, network, and participate in the Soapbox tradition- where artists and organizations can make announcements about upcoming events, shows, and programs. From visual art, dance, music, theatre, and more, discover ways to get involved in Salida's vibrant arts scene! Enjoy live music and light refreshments. A cash bar is available. This event is free and open to the public.
