We, Lucas and Jill Smith, are the owners of Buena Vista Drug and really enjoy owning a small business, connecting with the community, and helping people live healthier through our pharmacy services. At our second location we are excited to bring the great service and care to Salida.
Many years ago pharmacies and soda fountains were the place people went to feel better, socialize, pick up medicine, ask for advise from their trusted pharmacist, and pick up a delicious soda or ice cream treat while they were there. We want to bring back those good times when you could go down to the soda fountain to meet your friends or stop by for a delicious treat after spending the day adventuring in our great outdoors. Our soda fountain serves a variety of ice cream options from Blue Mountain Creamery in Colorado Springs and can make your favorite soda fountain treat including hand-mixed sodas, shakes, malts, egg creams, sundaes, and more. Most of our ingredients are homemade. Stop in for a Cookie Monster Sundae, Burnin’ Love Shake, or Cherry Phosphate.
The pharmacy is a full-service pharmacy and we accept most insurance plans including Medicare and Medicaid. Along with traditional pharmacy services we offer ways to improve your care. Our pharmacy delivers within 15 miles of the store. We also offer a service in which we coordinate your medication refills so you can pick up all your maintenance medications at the same time. Our pharmacists are specially trained to provide consultations and recommend vitamins and supplements that can compliment your traditional medicines and work to reducing potential side effects. We also offer blood pressure testing, flu testing, and strep testing to help you monitor and maintain your health. Our pharmacy staff will treat you like family and will help you to the best of our ability.
