Colorado TINTS is Salida’s most original theater company. Standing for “theater in non-traditional spaces, TINTS was established in Dec 2017 to bring original, under-reported/unknown stories to the public through theater. TINTS is committed to making theater shows accessible to audiences by utilizing non-traditional theater spaces such as community centers, restaurants, schools, etc. TINTS is comprised of a team of writers, directors, actors, producers and filmmakers who partner with community groups and individuals to create original, socially relevant work.

The Salida Circus Outreach Foundation (SCOF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in September 2007 to provide circus training to children and adults in Chaffee County a personal development and community-building tool. Tutors offer weekly workshops and three annual camps to teach acrobatics, stiltwalking, juggling, trapeze, unicycling, plate-spinning, clowning and more. Participants have the opportunity to participating in more than 20 shows per year at senior centers, nursing homes, festivals, fundraisers, parades and other community events.

Salida Aspen Concerts is a nonprofit, community-funded partnership with the Aspen Music Festival and School that has brought world-renowned classical musicians to Salida and Buena Vista for more than 40 years. The Salida Theater Festival is a in their second year as a non-profit unity, as of 2024. The Salida Theater Festival is an all volunteer organization designed to market and promote the Salida Theater Festival. The volunteers bring together multiple theater production companies to participate in each year’s festival. These companies are mainly local to Chaffee County, but invitations also go out to outside companies. In 2023, the Salida Theater Festival had a company in Chicago, and in 2024, there will be one from Denver.

Walden Chamber Music Society is a non-profit organization which presents classical chamber music concerts to our mountain community. Walden Chamber Music Society also makes generous donations to local schools to assist with their music programs, and to help students gain an appreciation of classical music.
