Darrin Howell and brothers Randy and Joey Taverna established H&T Construction in June of 2021. The company purchased M&N Excavating and turned the half million dollar company into a multimillion dollar company in just one year. Born and raised in Salida, the owners of H&T understand the importance of quality, pride, and customer service in small town business. These values guide every detail of the operation, ensuring every job completed stands apart from the rest.
Darrin, Randy, and Joey all started their careers in Salida working for local excavation, construction, and ranching companies. Together, they have over 40 years of superintendent experience overseeing multimillion dollar excavation, pipeline, and concrete jobs for major companies such as Coulson Excavation, Moltz Construction, and Crossfire LLC. Each gained valuable experience working on large scale job sites, but ultimately wanted to return to family and Salida full time. This led them to start H&T Construction where they now put their experience and skills to work for their hometown community. In addition, H&T has 10 employees and takes pride in the ability to provide jobs for locals to support their families, gain experience, and build careers in the construction industry.
