Mountain Tails Pet Boutique has been proudly serving Colorado pet lovers for nearly 20 years. Originally founded in Crested Butte, we briefly expanded to Telluride around 2011. While the Telluride location was eventually sold, our original Crested Butte shop has remained a local favorite ever since.
In the fall of 2022, my wife, Anne Scarpa, and I, Mike Scarpa, became the proud new owners of Mountain Tails Pet Boutique. Our boutique offers a fun, welcoming environment where pet owners (both dog and cat lovers!) can shop with their furry friends. We carry a wide variety of pet essentials, including premium foods, collars, leashes, toys, treats, swim jackets, winter coats, summer cooling vests, training tools, health and grooming products, and all sorts of other great accessories.
Please note: we do not offer grooming or boarding services.

Summer (Memorial Day – Labor Day):
Monday – Saturday: 9 AM – 6 PM
Sunday: 9 AM – 5 PM
Non-Summer Hours:
Monday – Saturday: 10 AM – 6 PM
Sunday: 10 AM – 5 PM
We love visiting Salida — hiking, fishing, and enjoying the warmth and charm of the town. We live full-time in Crested Butte with our two German Shepherds, Luke and Harley. We can’t wait to welcome you and your pets to Mountain Tails! We’re excited to serve the local Salida community, as well as all the wonderful visitors.
