Lucky Duck Race

During this fun community event on Sunday, August 23, 2026 from 1:00 – 3:30 pm at Riverside Park, creatively decorated ducks will once again race down the Arkansas River as spectators cheer them on. Before the races begin, Salida Circus will kick off the festivities with a 12:30pm performance. We fill Riverside Park with booths featuring local nonprofits and provide fun games and activities for children. The “prize” for winning a race is a scholarship for a local student in the sponsor’s name (or a name they chose). The funds provided by the Sunrise Rotary’s scholarship program for graduating seniors can help them further their education either at a college or trade school.
