2nd Annual Family Safety Awareness Day
Family games, gift certificates and prize drawings and a free lunch—plus visits with first responders and local safety officers—are among the highlights of the annual county-wide Family Safety Awareness Day.
The day of fun and safety is sponsored by the central Colorado anti-human trafficking nonprofit Bringing our Valley HOPE and is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Buena Vista Community Center, 715 E. Main St.
The free lunch offers chili sloppers, burgers, sausages, hot dogs, sides and drinks.
Children who complete all the fun safety games will win free togs and a certificate to The Grounds, Chaffee County’s only indoor play space. All attendees can participate in the prize drawings for $300 worth of toys, gadgets and novelties.
