The Hodgepodge is a place for local creative, crafty and artistic folks to be able to display and sell their creations. We have over 80 “creatives” from all age brackets (11 years old being our youngest) that have their works for sale. Some people rent small spaces and others bring their works in on consignment. We are all obsessed and possessed with making things. Kathleen Nelson, our amazing landlady, is so supportive of our concept and use of her little cottage for The Hodgepodge. We have fine artists, weavers, sewers, potters, metal and wood workers, jewelers, mixed-media artists, card makers, stained glass, hand-dyed and painted silks, natural skin-care products, basket makers, knitters, chocolate candy maker, photographers and used-book seller. Basically, anything that is handcrafted or re-purposed, we have. We provide free handmade cloth shopping bags to wrap most purchases. The Hodgepodge truly is our happy place, and we love sharing this with our customers and creatives.
We are passionate about supporting several local nonprofits with quarterly donations or donated, handmade, new items. They are: Valley to Valley Senior Day Care Center, Quilts of Valor, and the Salida Pregnancy Center.
