The Chaffee Home & Garden Show returns at the Chaffee County Fairgrounds on Saturday, April 5 & Sunday, April 6, 2025. More than 60 companies from the Chaffee County area – and from across Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, and Utah – will showcase the latest in landscaping, gardening, energy-efficient products, window treatments, flooring, lighting, indoor and outdoor fireplaces, patio furniture, storage systems, greenhouses, decks, spas and more. This show is a vibrant marketplace where you can shop for home-related products and services, experience stunning displays to help inspire your next home project, connect with industry experts, and enjoy informative presentations from renowned local home professionals. Cross Country Ski Adventure at Silver Creek
Join a CDT Gateway Community Ambassador from Salida for a cross country skiing adventure near the Continental Divide on Saturday, April 5, 2025 from 9:00 AM- 1:00 PM! Participants will meet their guide at the Silver Creek Trail 9:00 AM for a 9:30 AM departure. The cross country skiing will head up the trail for 2-3 miles towards the Continental Divide. The trip will be 4-6 miles maximum. This event is designed for people with some familiarity using cross country skis, or who are able to ski 4+ miles at a time. Please do not bring other types of equipment (e.g. snowshoes). Cross country skis will be available to borrow, courtesy of Salida Mountain Sports. Please note that the CDTC program leader is AIARE 1 and Wilderness First Responder certified. Remember to dress warm, bring sunglasses, water, and a snack if needed. Please do not bring your pet to the program. Always prepare for changing weather conditions in the mountains! Carpooling to the event location is encouraged. Please register for the event and request to borrow equipment, if applicable, at this link. All participants must register themselves individually.
