I recently visited Salida and have lived in Denver over 60 years and had never been to your fine town. I found it very historical, charming and warm. The people were friendly and the sights were typical of the great traditions of an old western town, which is lost in places like Aspen and Vail. I read the commentary in the Mountain Mail about Salida being a “Ghetto City” and was taken aback. Not true at all.
