Monarch Spur RV Park & Campground is under New Ownership. Scott and April Shaver purchased the park in November 2022 and re-located to the area with their 4 children and April’s father. They are working hard to get the park ready for the Grand Re-Opening Memorial Weekend 2023. Monarch Spur RV Park & Campground is located on the South Arkansas River between Poncha Springs and Monarch Ski Resort; just 15 minutes from downtown Salida. There are full hook-up RV sites, tent sites on the river as well as cabins and travel trailer rentals. The park is located on 46 wooded acres between the South Arkansas River and the San Isabel National Forest. You can fish on the river, a nearby pond, or hike right from the property. The Colorado Trail is 1 mile from the park entrance. The property has a bathhouse, laundry facility and camp store on site. Monarch Spur RV Park & Campground is central to many different water activities on the South Arkansas and Arkansas Rivers as well as the most concentrated number of 14ers in the state; a paradise for the outdoor enthusiast!
