Colorado Firecamp, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, wildland firefighter school trains about 900 students annually, based at the Ponderosa Lodge north of Maysville. Founded in 2002 by volunteer firefighter Kent Maxwell in response to that summer's destructive wildfire season in Colorado and other western states. Colorado Firecamp has become a nationally recognized advocate for firefighter safety and the country's largest chainsaw tree faller training program.

Colorado Mountain College now offers Baccalaureate degrees in Business Administration and Sustainability Studies, Elementary Education and Nursing, in addition to our two-year Associate Degree programs. Students can also earn certificates in such programs as EMS, Medical Assistant, Early Childhood Education, Paralegal, Accounting and more.
FMI offers high performance driving and racing schools at High Plains Raceway in Denver, CO. Drivers bring their own cars to school and drive them on a race track the way they were meant to be driven. FMI is also a dealer for racing gear and equipment. FMI promotes Soap Box Derby racing locally for children and is currently pursuing land to build a motor sports facility in the local area.
