Current Hours of Operation:
Thrift Store: Monday through Saturday 10 am to 5 pm.
Thrift Store Donations: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday (at the dock in the rear of the building – alley between 3rd and 4th Streets.) 10 am to 1 pm.
Resource and Assistance Center: Monday through Friday 10 am to 1 pm.
Sanctuary Soup Kitchen: Hot meal served Tuesday through Friday 11 am to 1 pm.
Thrift Store
The Caring and Sharing Thrift Store serves our community by providing slightly used clothing, furniture, home goods and more. Our community generously donates their no longer wanted items! Our thrift store is the best little thrift store in the Rockies. Financial resources acquired by the Thrift Store provide funding for employing members of our community, providing resource and assistance to anyone in need, and a daily hot meal served in our soup kitchen.
Resource and Assistance Center
Our Resource and Assistance Center houses a Food Bank, but also provides basic assistance to anyone in need. We have a large inventory of medical devices that can be borrowed by anyone who needs them. Through funding from the Thrift Store and the generosity of community members and local businesses, we are able to provide assistance with propane purchases, bus tickets, medical aid, court fees. (All assistance is evaluated case by case.)
Sanctuary Soup Kitchen
The Sanctuary Soup Kitchen provides a hot meal from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Tuesday through Friday.
The Soup Kitchen is also a common space used for human service programs. We partner with Sol Vista, the Chaffee County DMV, and several Christian Churches to meet basic emotional, spiritual and physical needs.
