19th Annual Monarch Crest Crank Benefiting the Alliance Against Domestic Abuse
What: The Alliance Against Domestic Abuse is hosting the Monarch Crest Crank bike ride for the 19th year. This annual fundraiser includes a shuttle to and from Salida to the top of Monarch Pass. Riders will receive a goodie bag and free lunch and libations at the after party. Wrapping up Salida Bike Fest, join almost 100 other mountain bike riders for this event to help a local nonprofit organization that provides emergency shelter, crisis intervention and support for survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse. Who: Mountain bike riders of all ages are encouraged to participate.
Why: All proceeds help your neighbors, friends and family members in Chaffee County. The Alliance Against Domestic Abuse works to eliminate domestic violence and sexual assault and to empower victims through education, services and social change.
When: Sunday, September 17, 2017 (the last day of Salida Bike Fest). The ride will take place whether rain or shine. Riders will meet at 8 a.m. at Absolute Bikes, 330 W. Sackett Ave, to board shuttles. The after party will kick off at Riverside Park, at the corner of F Street and Sackett, at noon.
Where: Riders will be shuttled to and from downtown Salida to the Monarch Crest Trail at the top of Monarch Pass.
